Dear TCDS Families,
Happy Friday! Please, please, please keep those adorable Halloween pictures coming!! The staff and I have truly enjoyed seeing all of our Angels all dressed up! What creative kiddos AND parents we have! After all the Halloween shenanigans calmed down, our classes have started talking about what they are thankful for and have continued to observe and discuss the fall changes outside. Before we know it, it’ll be turkey time!
Monday and Tuesday are individual picture days! Our MWF classes will go on Monday and our Tu/Th and 5-day classes will go on Tuesday. Please be sure to send in your order forms and payments on your child’s picture day. Please know that all children will be photographed on their day; also, make-up pictures can be scheduled if your child is ill, so please be sure to follow our illness policy if needed!
The delivery date for Joe Corbi’s items is Wednesday, November 8 at 11:45. This is a change from the original information that was sent home to some families, so please make note of that! If you are able to come that morning to help sort the delivery before families come to pick up, please contact Kristen Callihan at firstname.lastname@example.org. We have very limited freezer space, so you must make arrangements to pick up your items after 11:45 on Wednesday, November 8!
Are you looking for a Date Night or a fun night out with friends? Then look no further! TCDS is hosting Glarus Chocolatier for a chocolate and wine/craft beer pairing on Wednesday, November 8 at 7:00pm. Join us in the great room for delicious chocolate, beverages, and light appetizers. This is an adult ONLY night (21 and over) and tickets are $25 a person. 20% of all sales will be donated to TCDS Parents’ Club. Please see the attached pairing menu for the event… it is SURE to be a fun and delicious time! ALL forms and payments must be returned to the office by Monday at 3:00. A huge THANK YOU to the Hauser family and the Parents’ Club for again planning a fun evening for our parents!
We will host Towson University education students again on November 14 for an art exploration day! The Tuesday morning classes will all be involved in fun lessons and a special afternoon Extended Day session will be planned with DIFFERENT lessons for those who wish to stay! Please remember that any of these afternoon sessions are available to ALL Angels who are potty-trained, even if they don’t attend class that particular morning. Sign-up sheets came home today for our MWF and 5-day classes, but I have attached it to this email for Tu/Th students to see!
I know how busy all of our lives become around the holidays, but I want to stress to all our families how important it is to drop your child off on time in the morning. Our teachers plan their days full of fun and learning activities and they begin right away. We don’t want your child to miss anything important. As a mom, I try to put myself in my children’s shoes when it comes to things like this. I imagine they would feel as awkward coming into the classroom late as I do coming into a meeting late. It’s equally important to pick your child up on time to ensure they feel secure and safe being dropped off in school. Our staff does everything in their power to make certain that our students are comfortable in the classroom from the start, and we truly appreciate your help in ensuring our efforts are successful.
I hope you all enjoy a restful and fun weekend. I am looking forward to spending the weekend with my best friend, Lindsay, who I met here at TCDS! Old friends are the greatest! See you all on Monday!
