Dear TCDS Family,
Thank you so much to all of the sweet Angels and their families for all of the lovely birthday wishes today. I consider myself very lucky to be here every day, to be able to get to know your wonderful families, and to feel the support of a strong school community. I truly appreciate each and every one of you!
The children are gearing up for the holidays as they make Christmas crafts in their classrooms and learn all about the reason for the season! Ms. Sue has been teaching beautiful Christmas songs for Chapel and Ms. Nicole and Mrs. Carder have been getting the costumes ready for their class’ tableau performance. Our tree is FULL of hats, mittens, and scarves while our Angel Gift bin is beginning to fill up. And our canned food drive ended with us JUST making our goal of 300 food items! We are so busy, but feel so blessed, here at TCDS. Thank you to everyone for your generosity in fulfilling our Outreach goals this year and teaching your children what it means to give to those in need.
Santa’s Workshop was another Holly Jolly success this year with Anna Gibbons and Leslie Gibbons steering the sled. Thank you, ladies, for all of the shopping, wrapping, and organizing you did. Also, thank you to all of the volunteers who helped wrap on Wednesday night and who helped our Angels shop these past two days! We couldn’t do events like these without you!
Our school will be full of celebration this coming week as we prepare for Christmas. Please keep in mind that Friday is our Christmas Chapel. We will not have regular classes on that day while morning and afternoon Extended Day will be cancelled. Please refer to the schedule sent home this week regarding your child’s time. I really look forward to a fun and festive chapel time!
Please keep the following January dates in mind as you start planning for the new year:

As we approach the winter weather season, please remember we follow Baltimore County Public Schools for weather-related delays and closings. Our full weather policy is in the Student Handbook should you need to refer back to it. Also, please adhere to our illness policy as flu season gets into full swing. Children may return to school a full 24 hours after they vomit or run a fever. We truly appreciate you taking this policy seriously as we try to reduce the spread of germs here at school.
TONIGHT is movie night in the parish hall. We will be showing “Cars 3” on the big screen! Come comfy and bring a blanket to snuggle with. We still start, as usual, at 6:30! Hope to see you there!
Have a wonderful weekend… and if it snows, stay safe out there! See you next week!
