Friday Updates- January 19, 2018

Dear TCDS Families,

Happy Friday… wait, it IS Friday, right?? I found it very difficult to keep track of what day it was this week! Between the holiday on Monday and the snow day on Wednesday, it has been a long week and two days off for our MWF angels! It was nice to see them again, and ALL of our Angels, this morning. I am very excited to see warmer temperatures on the forecast for this weekend!

Registration for the 2018-2019 school year opened up yesterday and we have a wonderful start for enrollment for next year! Thank you to all families who came to register their current and new Angels for school next year. If you haven’t had the opportunity to register yet, or if you are still deciding which class to choose, please feel free to come to the office to talk with us!

Registration opens to the community next Thursday, January 25 at 8am. We have had quite a bit of interest in our school this year. If you know of someone who is thinking about registering for next year please urge them to call for a tour so they can register ASAP, as some classes may fill up next week. Thank you to all families who have spread the word about our sweet school… we truly appreciate you!

A flyer was sent home this week about a calendar change the second half of the year: due to a scheduling conflict, we will need to change our Grandparents’ Days to Wednesday, February 28 and Thursday, March 1. We truly apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause.

Preparations are already under way for our Summer Nature Program this year! The program runs the entire month of June and is open to all children who are potty-trained between the ages of 3 and 6. The themes for this year’s program are as follows:

  • Week 1: Space
  • Week 2: Safari
  • Week 3: Our Little Scientists
  • Week 4: Nutrition and Cooking

More information about this program, along with an application, will be sent home in early February. We will begin registration for the Summer Nature Program on March 5.

Our Annual Bull and Oyster Roast is coming up on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Columbus Gardens. This event, put on by our fabulous Parents’ Club, is our biggest fundraiser of the year… and we need your help to make it a success! We need volunteers before, during and after the event to help it run smoothly. We also need donations to fill up our Silent Auction tables. You can help in the following ways:

  • If you know of a business that would be willing to donate to our school, please pass along the attached Donation Letter.
  • If you have new items at home that you would be willing to donate (ATTENTION all those families who would like to clean out after Christmas!!!), please place them in the box in the lobby.
  • Please keep an eye out for communication from your class room parent(s) on ways to contribute to your class basket.

TONIGHT is Movie Night at Trinity Church! We will show “Despicable Me 3” on the big screen upstairs in the Parish Hall at 6:30. Come comfy and bring blankets for your child to lay on during the movie. Snacks and drinks provided by the church, but free will donations are accepted. Hope to see you there!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! See you next week!

Take Care,
