Friday Updates- January 26, 2018

Happy Happy Friday!!

This week felt like it FLEW by!! We have had a lot of fun here at TCDS this week! Our 2s classes learned about firefighters and got to be Fire Chiefs in the classroom. Our 3s classes continue with their letter studies and have been talking a lot about the winter season as well. Our 4s classes are learning about transportation and practicing with counting activities. I took pictures of each of our classes participating in activities this morning, so please check out our Facebook page today! What a busy week!

This is a friendly reminder that the 4th and final payment for the 2017-2018 year is due February 1. Please bring your payment by the office anytime next week. All checks can be made payable to TCDS and can be placed in the yellow basket on my desk if no one is in the office. Thank you!

Registration has been a smashing success so far! We have limited spaces available in our classes, so please pass along our information to any families looking for a school home next year. It is best for prospective families to call and schedule a tour. I am available to give tours between 9:30-11:30am or 1:30-3:00pm Monday-Friday. Thank you to all those families have spread the word about our school!

Our Bull Roast is on Friday, March 23 at Columbus Gardens. Tickets will be $50.00 and will on sale soon. Start planning your tables of 10 now! We are always looking for donations for our Silent Auction; if you know of any businesses willing to make a donation, please come to the office for a donation letter to give out. Also, if you have anything *NEW* at your house that you would like to donate, please place it in the box in the lobby. We truly appreciate the efforts all of our families make to help this event be such a big success!

We are planning a Bull Roast meeting on Wednesday, January 31 at 6:30 upstairs in the Parish Hall. If you are available to see how you can help, please stop by! I hope to see you there!

We are always on the lookout for reliable, qualified substitutes to cover classes when teachers fall ill (it does happen, unfortunately…). It’s flexible based on your schedule and a fun time for all. You don’t have to be a teacher, but you do need to love children… I think that qualifies every adult at our school! If you or someone you know if interested in earning a little extra money throughout the year, please come talk to me in the office.

The church and school will be holding a Community Day on Saturday, May 6, 2018. This will be a free event for the community to come check out the school and church while participating in some fun activities. Details are still in the works regarding what activities will be planned for this year; however, we are looking to have VENDORS in the school during the event. If you or anyone you know is interested in reserving a VENDOR space on May 6, please come see me in the office!

It’s supposed to be somewhat warm this weekend, so I hope your kiddos have the chance to get outside and let some energy out. Have a wonderful weekend and we will see you next week!

Take Care,
