Friday Updates- February 23, 2018

Happy Friday, TCDS Families!

It has been another great week here at Trinity! Ms. Jamie’s class learned about Garrett Morgan, the man who made the traffic signal what it is today. Ms. Nicole’s class celebrated the 100th day of school! And Ms. Melissa’s class learned about the color pink and tried to wear pink clothing to school all week! I truly enjoy popping into each of the classrooms in the building, as I adore seeing the range of learning taking place each day! I look forward to our Grandparents/Grandfriends Days next week so we can show off all the wonderful things happening here!

Grandparents Day is Wednesday, February 28 for all 3-day classes and Thursday, March 1 for all 2-day and 5-day classes. The schedule will be as follows:

9:00-9:15:      Group meeting and refreshments (Room 108)

9:20:               Classroom Visitations and Music

11:00:             Dismissal for Two’s Grandparents

11:30:             Outside and walk to chapel

11:40:             Chapel for 3’s and 4’s

12:00:             Dismissal

The teachers have many wonderful activities planned for our visitors on these special days. If you have not done so already, please send in the RSVP slip to your teacher so she can plan accordingly. It’s going to be a great couple days!

Can you believe it will be March next week? I cannot! We have many fun activities planned for this month, so please check out the following dates:

March 1:                     Read to Me Program begins!

March 7:                     4’s Field Trip to Goucher College

March 23:                  Easter Holiday Chapel

March 23:                  Bull and Oyster Roast

Mar. 24-Apr. 2:         Spring Break

April 3:                        School Reopens

All of the children will participate in Trinity Church Day School’s “Read To Me” reading incentive program during the months of March and April. The children will create a bookmark with their teacher at the start of the program and will receive a gift book at the conclusion. Look for a packet of information about the reading program to come home next week with more information.

In preparation for the Bull Roast, the Parents’ Club will hold a planning meeting this coming Wednesday. February 28 at 7 pm in the upstairs Parish Hall. If you are able to make it, please come to help us as we gather everything we need to make the event successful!

Tickets are on sale NOW for the Bull and Oyster Roast! $50 gets you a delicious buffet dinner, raffles and games, access to the best silent auction in town, open bar, dancing, and more!! Seating will be open unless you reserve a table of 10, so get those tables together ASAP. Extra flyers can be found on the table outside of the office. Please make all checks payable to TCDS Parents’ Club. We hope you can make it!

Have a fun, fabulous, and healthy weekend! I look forward to an exciting week next week!

Take Care,
