Happy Friday, TCDS Families!
It was so nice to see all of our Angels after our Spring Break. Although some felt some hesitation at first, everyone is quickly back in the swing of things. So many beautiful spring crafts are popping up all around the school, making our hallways bright and beautiful. Even though the weather hasn’t quite caught up to the spring season, the children have enjoyed spending some time outside on the playground. And I believe that all of the Easter activities have been made up after the surprise snow days before Easter chapel. We are ALL looking forward to the warmth, flowers, and beauty that is promised in the spring… let’s hope Mother Nature gets on board!
The Bull and Oyster Roast on March 23 was a great success, as the Parent’s Club raised $13,500 for our school! There are SO many people to thank, from the room parents who organized the fabulous class baskets to the teachers who donated wonderful experiences for the end of the year to the volunteers who helped run the games during the event. A special thanks goes to the event co-chairs, Christine & Brian Gosnell and Kristen Gordon, for their organization and execution of this biggest fundraiser of the year. Thank you to Kristen Deford, Becca Urlock, Anna Gibbons, and Asher Collins for their help in preparing the silent auction baskets and setting up for the event. And of course to the officers, Jen Collins, Jennifer Runde, and Cari Santiago, for their unending support of the school and events like this! We truly appreciate all you do for our school, the program, and our Angels!
Enrollment Agreements and the first tuition payment for the 2018-2019 school year were due April 1. If you have not returned these to the office, please do so at your earliest convenience. A 5% late fee will be assessed on April 16, so please be sure to get those to us in a timely fashion. As always, if there is a concern, please bring it to the office. Thank you!
Silvergraphics order forms went home this week. Paper orders are due back to the office by Tuesday, April 11 and all online order are due Wednesday, April 12. If you would like to order products using a different piece of art, or if you would like to submit art for a sibling, please see the blank order forms hanging on the Parents’ Club bulletin board in the lobby. Don’t miss an opportunity to display your child’s unique art on a variety of products!
As you know, our code of conduct stresses that all of our Trinity Angels do their best to be kind and loving friends both in and out of school. Our staff does a fabulous job teaching our students at the beginning of the year and reviewing with them throughout the year what it looks like to be kind. You will hear teachers praising their students for sharing, helping clean up, or even comforting a friend who is feeling sad. During the month of April, I would like to recognize those students who commit kind acts and highlight their actions for the entire school to see. Please see the letter sent home yesterday or today for more information on this important activity… we already have some beautiful Act of Kindness Flowers hanging on our tree, and I look forward to seeing how full it will be at the end of the month!

As I write this, I can hear the sounds of fun and excitement from our children playing happily on the playground. Every spring, the Dad’s Club organizes a Mulch Madness to help spread new playground chips to keep our playground safe and beautiful. We are planning this Mulch Madness event on Sunday, April 22 at 1:00 pm. We will have food for those who come to help! If you can make it, please bring a rake, wheelbarrow, and shovel… and some sunshine, if possible!
If your child is staying for Extended Day, please be sure to sign them up on the bulletin board in the front lobby. Ms. Vicky, Ms. Mindy, and Ms. Olivia come in early to set up for the day and they need to know who is staying to ensure they have the proper materials. If you forget, or if you aren’t sure if a caregiver has signed up, just email or call the office and we will check for you. Thanks so much!
I am SO HAPPY the weather people have taken snow out of the forecast for this weekend! Fingers crossed they got it totally wrong and we will experience a great warm up! Have a fabulous weekend… I hope you get to enjoy some great quality time with your families!
