Happy Friday TCDS Families!
It’s May 11, which means we only have 2 more weeks of school in the 2017-2018 school year. That feels almost impossible to me, as this year has truly flown by! This week, we welcomed many moms and grandmoms to the building in celebration of Mother’s Day. We also welcomed the Zoomobile for our 2- and 3-year-old students, bringing with them their scaled, feathered, and furry friends! We also enjoyed some extended outdoor time, some with snack picnics! What a lovely week here at Trinity!
On Monday, we have Conference Day. School is closed for students so parents can meet with their teachers throughout the morning. If you have not signed up for a conference time, please contact your teacher ASAP! Extended Day will be open from about 8:30 until 3 and you can sign your child up for a block of time or just during your conference. PLEASE let me know today if your child will be staying and you didn’t have the opportunity to sign them up on the list in the lobby.
Next week, on Wednesday, we will welcome Soccer Shots to our school to do a demonstration of their program. Each class will spend a short time watching the instructors and learning about the program. We will offer Soccer Shots here at Trinity during the month of June, from 1 to 1:30, directly following the Summer Nature Program day. If you are interested in signing your child up for this fun program, please keep an eye out for registration information to come home in folders next Wednesday!
Our fours classes will have a Closing Chapel service on Friday, May 25 at 9:30. Students will arrive to school at normal time, 9:00, and report to their classrooms. Families will then go up and find a space in the church… it’s going to be crowded!! Following the service, there will be a reception in the upstairs Parish Hall for all Fours families. We look forward to a lovely time! All other classes (2’s and 3’s) will have a regular school day on May 25!
Our Summer Nature Program is filling up fast, so make sure to get your applications in soon! Our third and fourth weeks are filled and closed, but the first two weeks are still open with a few spots. There are extra application on the table in the lobby or you can print one from our website: www.trinitychurchdayschool.com.
Next Thursday, May 17, is restaurant night at Gunpowder Lodge. If you have never been, they have a great outdoor area and playground for the kids to use while you dine! A portion of all sales will come back to Trinity, so please join us for dinner or carry out!
If your child is not contracted or does not have a prepaid punch card for Extended Day, we are asking for payment for Extended Day services on the day your child stays. Any hours left on prepaid punch cards at the end of the year will be refunded to the purchaser of the card. This will help us close out the year and start next year anew. See Laura if you have any questions about your Extended Day billing status.
All of our staff members felt very appreciated this week! Thank you to those families who gave a little extra love to your teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week. A special thank you goes out to the officers of the Parents’ Club, Jen Collins, Jennifer Runde, and Cari Santiago, for their sweet tokens of appreciation throughout the week and for the DELICIOUS luncheon they put on for the staff yesterday. We all appreciate our Angels and their families for the support they show us all year long! Thank you!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! See you all next week!
