Summer Updates- August 1, 2018

Good Morning, TCDS Families,

I cannot believe it is August 1st already, but here we are! I am getting to the point of the summer when I REALLY miss the kiddos being around, so I look forward to school starting in about a month. The new playground fence is almost finished, the floors have been shined up, and lots of new classroom activities are still being delivered for the new school year! I can’t wait!

I wanted to send a short update today with a few reminders and one big request!

  1. The second tuition payment is due today, August 1. If you have not already sent in your payment, please contact us so we know when to expect it. We are in the office between 9 and 12 every day now, so feel free to stop in, say hi, and drop the payment off!

  1. I will be going Facebook Live this morning at 10 am for summer storytime. Please go to the Trinity Church Day School Facebook page to watch with your child and participate! If you are not able to watch at 10am, I will post the video for future viewing! I hope to connect with many of you at 10!

  1. Family packets went out early this week, so you should be receiving them shortly if you have not already. Please feel free to call during office hours or send an email should you have ANY questions or concerns regarding the information in your packet. No question or concern is ever viewed as “silly”, and Ms. Laura and I are always here to help!

  1. Soccer Shots will be here again this fall on Tuesday afternoons. If you are interesting in enrolling your child, registration is open now on their website: https://www.soccershots.org/baltimore/programs/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIj-7XwvvL3AIVFFqGCh00zQsTEAAYASAAEgJlF_D_BwE Please remember that Soccer Shots is an outside company with their own policies and fees, so take a look through their information before making a decision.

And for my request… We have so many projects finished up, but that just means it’s time for some new projects to prepare for the school year. Our outside areas, including the playground and gardens, are truly beautiful; however, they take a lot of work to maintain throughout the year. During the summer, the following projects need to be completed: playground equipment needs to be power washed, sticks need to be removed from areas in preparation for new mulch, and gardens need to be weeded. I tend to do these projects myself, with some help, in order to save funds for the program. If anyone feels that they have the time and/or expertise needed to help me complete any of these projects, I would greatly appreciate the assistance!

I hope your summers have been full of family time and lovely memories! I cannot wait to see everyone soon!

Take Care,

Chrissy
