Friday Updates- October 26, 2018

Dear TCDS Families,

Happy Friday! The school is abuzz with harvest energy as the children are working on their Halloween and fall crafts in the classroom. They are singing fun songs and playing “spooky” games in music and movement. Our last group of kiddos enjoyed their fall field trip to Beachmont this week! And the office is getting prepared for our fall/winter outreach projects. There is a reason fall is my favorite time of year!

Early next week, you will see a few important items come home in your child’s folder. Please keep an eye out for:

  • Picture Day Order Forms
  • Extended Day Music signup forms
  • Canned Food Drive information

Picture Days will take place on November 5 and 6. Please send in your order and payment with your child on the day of their pictures. If your child is ill, retakes can be scheduled so please keep your child home to rest if need be. The schedule will be as follows:

Monday, November 5, 2018

Ms. Nikki’s Two & You

Ms. Melissa 2’s (MWF)

Ms. Debbie 3’s

Ms. Marcie 3’s

Ms. Jaime 4’s

Tuesday, November 6, 2018

Ms. Melissa 2’s (Tu/Th)

Ms. Debbie 2’s

Ms. Lauren 3’s

Ms. Laurie 3’s

Ms. Nicole 4’s

Extended Day Music will take place on Thursday, November 8 from 12-3. This is a fun afternoon that Ms. Sue plans to allow musical exploration and extension activities that she does not always have time for in the morning classes. Please sign your child up for a fun afternoon of music, art, movement, and more with their friends!

Our holiday canned food drive will kick off on November 1. Every year, we collect nonperishable food for those who are served at Paul’s Place and the school is always able to send two sizable donations down to Baltimore for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Please see the information that will come home early next week for the food items they are looking for! We truly appreciate our families for taking the opportunity to show their children what giving truly means during the holiday season!

This is your friendly reminder that the 3rd tuition payment is due November 1. Please send it to the office as soon as possible. Thank you!

Silvergraphics order forms came home this week! This is the Parents’ Club’s fall fundraiser and it gives you the chance to order special gifts for your friends and families just in time for Christmas. Orders can be done on the paper form sent home or online using your child’s special code. Please contact Cari Santiago at TCDSPCPresident@gmail.com with any questions!

Halloween is coming up next Wednesday and we are excited to celebrate with special Halloween snacks and crafts. However, for multiple practical reasons, we do not have our Angels dress in costume in school. They are welcome to dress in all the Halloween gear they would like, though! BUT, we still LOVE to see them in their costumes; so, please send your Halloween costume pictures to the office email for our annual “BOO!” display!

Although the weather looks a bit questionable for the weekend, I hope you are able to enjoy some good family time together! See you next week!

Take Care,

Chrissy
