Dear TCDS Families,
Happy Friday, everyone! It has been great week here at Trinity! Our Angels are really getting into the library routine with Ms. Kira and have loved picking out books to take home in the 3’s and 4’s. Please remember to send your child’s book back to school on their library day to ensure they can pick out a new book each week. Our students have also really enjoyed participating in music and movement activities with Ms. Sue… check out Hula Hoop Friday pictures on our Facebook page!
On Monday, our lobby will be transformed into an Enchanted Forest for our Scholastic Book Fair! Please try to prepare your children for this massive change, as it tends to throw many off in the mornings. The book fair will be open for purchases during drop-off, pick-up, and Enrichment pick-up. Please enjoy browsing the selections and buying some fun books for your family members. Also, please volunteer 15-20 minutes of your time this coming week to run the register at some point during the week, including a time slot during the Fall Harvest party! Our Fall Harvest Party and Chili Cook-Off is NEXT FRIDAY, October 12 from 5:00-8:00. This event is right here at TCDS and is a fun way to mingle with families, eat some great food, sample delicious chili, and let your children enjoy some outside time. Tickets are a bargain at $12 for adults and $6 for children- tickets get you dinner, water/drink, and access to the chili cook-off. Bake table items will be for sale for dessert. Feel free to bring a cooler of adult beverages if you’d like, but remember to line up a safe ride home. We hope to see you there!
If you can volunteer a half hour of your time during the party, there are plenty of opportunities for you to do so. Please click on the following links to sign up for a time slot:
We also have a Dad’s Club outing on Thursday evening at 6:00 to help prepare the grounds for the party. I emailed all of the dads who signed up during the back to school events; however, if you did not receive a Dad’s Club email and would like to, just let me know!
CALLING ALL CHEFS- We need the entry forms for the chili cook-off contest by Wednesday, October 10 so I can type up the ingredients and get placements organized. All ingredients are listed, but exact amounts are not. Also, your chili will remain anonymous during the party. Please send in your prize-winning chili recipes today!
We have a parent who is interested in starting a parents’ book club here at TCDS. Her idea is to meet once a month to discuss books of interest to the group. Please let us know in the office if you would like to participate so we can see if we have enough interest to get this started!
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Enjoy the fall weather and time with your families! See you bright and early Monday morning!
