Happy Friday, Everyone!
What a wonderful week it has been here at TCDS! Our twos classes started music class this week and had fun singing and playing with Ms. Sue. Our threes classes are finishing up their “All About Me” unit and are preparing to begin weekly letter studies. Our fours classes are focusing on fall themes and crafts, and Ms. Nicole’s class did some science experiments with apples this morning before centers. I just love seeing all of the fun activities our teachers and students are participating in this time of year!
Our 4th Annual Fall Harvest Party and Chili Cook-Off Contest is coming up on Friday, October 12 from 5:00-8:00. You can purchase your tickets at the bargain price of $12 for adults and $6 for children. A barbeque-style dinner will be served, along with pulled pork and drinks, and desserts can be purchased at the cash bake table. We will also have raffles and prizes for our chili cook-off winners! Please join us for music, playground fun, and great conversation!
CALLING ALL CHILI CHEFS!!! We need your chili entries and ingredient lists by Wednesday, October 10 at 3pm. No late entries will be accepted, so please be sure to get them in on time!

October 15-16 3’s Field Trip to Farm Stan’s
October 17-18 2’s Filed Trip to Fresh McKenzie

On October 23, Towson University students from the education department will come in to teach art lessons at TCDS. We have a group that comes through in the morning, so all students on Tuesday morning will participate. A different group of students, with different fun lessons, will also be here in the afternoon. This is a great opportunity for our students to get some extra exposure to art concepts, and this year the lessons will be STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)-related! It should be a great time, so look for the sign-up flyer to come home soon!
Attached, you will find October’s Tiny Tales newsletter. Most of our families have opted for the paperless version; if anyone requested a hard copy of the newsletter, you will find it in your child’s folder today or early next week! Please look for a newsletter to come home at the beginning of each month.
I want to personally thank everyone who has sent congratulations and shown excitement for me and my family following my big, surprise announcement this week! Our family is extremely excited for our new addition and it makes life so much sweeter to know I have such an amazing support system. Much love to you all!
I think I heard the weather person said it’s supposed to be a drier pattern coming for this weekend and next week! Here’s hoping he is right and we finally get a good dose of vitamin D! Have a great weekend… and we will see which team comes out victorious on Sunday (although, truth be told, I won’t stay up to watch the whole game!).
