Friday Updates- March 1, 2019

Hello All!

Well, we ALMOST made it though the week without any white stuff on the ground. I’m glad we were able to come in today, even with a delay, so we can continue the fun of learning!

Grandparents’/Grandfriends’ Day is coming up next week on March 6 and 7. This is a special opportunity for visitors to come see your child in the school setting. Invitations should have been sent home this week and we have already seen RSVP slips returning to school. Please return these slips to your teacher ASAP so we can anticipate how many visitors we will have. In order to keep our classrooms safe, we are asking that visitors are limited to 4 (or less) per family and that arrangements are made to keep younger siblings at home. The teachers work hard to make this day special, but we all like to keep the schedule as consistent as possible for the benefit of our students.

Hershey Park ticket order forms were due back to the office, with payment, yesterday. If you have any late tickets to purchase, please do so by Monday. This is a fundraiser for the Parents’ Club and all money earned will come directly back to the school. Extra order forms are on the table in the lobby, so pick some up and sell some tickets! Thank you to all those who have purchased and a HUGE THANK YOU to Kristen Callihan for running this fundraiser!

Trinity Barn Bash is on Saturday, March 30 from 6-10 pm at Grimmel Farms! Tickets are $60 a piece, which gets you a delicious buffet dinner, access to our fabulous Silent Auction, open bar (beer and wine), raffles, games, dancing, and so much more! Buy your tickets TODAY! We hope that you can join us! If you can help before, during, or after the event, please follow the link below to sign up!

Keep an eye out on Monday/Tuesday for information about our big YETI raffle in conjunction with the Barn Bash. There are TWO chances to win this year, and each prize is valued at $320! Tickets will be on sale Monday for $10 apiece, so GET READY!!

We have begun accepting applications from Trinity families for our Summer Nature Program; registration opens to the community on Monday, March 4. Applications were sent home a couple weeks ago, but there are extra copies on the table in the lobby. Please bring the completed application with a 20% deposit to hold your spot(s). There is a savings coupon on our website if you are registering for 2 or more weeks, so if you would like to take advantage of the savings please print the coupon and return it with your application. Also, please be sure to mark your interest in Extended Day on the application so we can see if we have enough interest for the second two weeks of June.

Every year, TCDS celebrates reading during the months of March and April with our Read-to-Me program. Information went home this week about this fun program, along with a personalized bookmark designed by your child. Please record 3 books that you read with your child and return the stars to school whenever they are completed. There is one star per week. Please cut out the star so we can quickly put it up for display! We appreciate your support with this program!

On Tuesday, March 5, Trinity Church will host their annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper! This event is from 5-7pm in the upstairs Parish Hall. Come celebrate with us as we prepare for the season of Lent by filling our bellies with delicious pancakes, sausage, and bacon. This is a FREE event, although donations are accepted. I will be there with my family, although I won’t be serving like I usually do. We hope to see lots of you there!

Attached is March’s Tiny Tales newsletter. Please read through it carefully to get the full scoop on what’s going on here at TCDS! Have a great weekend and we will see you on Monday!

Take Care,

Chrissy
