Friday Updates- March 29, 2019

Happy Friday, TCDS Families!

We have really enjoyed the drier, and sometimes warmer, weather outside this week! All of our classes have spent lots of time on the playground and Ms. Jamie’s class even got to have snack outside on Wednesday! What a treat! Beautiful spring and Easter crafts are filling our hallways, making the school nice and bright!

New reading stars were sent home yesterday and will go home today. Please continue to read at home through the month of April and send in those stars! Let’s see how many we can fit in the lobby!

Trinity Barn Bash is TOMORROW from 6-10 pm at Grimmel Farms! We are very excited to cebelrate and support out #TCDSfamily with you! We are still looking for volunteers during the event. If you can help before, during, or after the Barn Bash, please follow the link below to sign up!

We are still selling tickets for our big YETI raffle in conjunction with the Barn Bash. There are TWO chances to win this year, and each prize is valued at $320! Tickets are on sale for $10 a piece. We are selling tickets during the event, so please bring some cash for more chances to win!

We are accepting applications for our Summer Nature Program. Applications were sent home a while ago, but there are extra copies on the table in the lobby. Please bring the completed application with a 20% deposit to hold your spot(s). There is a savings coupon on our website if you are registering for 2 or more weeks, so if you would like to take advantage of the savings please print the coupon and return it with your application. We WILL have Extended Day all four weeks during June, so you can plan accordingly. Extended Day is open from 1-4 during the Summer Nature Program.

We have scheduled a playground maintenance day for Saturday, April 6 (rain date on Sunday, April 7). Mulch for the playground will be delivered that Friday afternoon and we need volunteers to help spread it in order to keep the playground safe and in good condition. Please mark your calendar and plan to stop by and help… the more people who attend, the faster the work will be finished! THANK YOU!

A note about the mulch delivery: They give us a time window for delivery, which means that the mulch could be delivered before Enrichment pick up at 3pm. If there are large mounds of mulch blocking the path, please do not allow the children to climb on them. I know its super tempting and fun, but we need to keep everyone safe!!

Spring Art Day is coming up on Tuesday, April 9. This is an opportunity for your child to participate in fun and creative art lessons taught by education students at Towson University. Most Tuesday morning classes will participate under the supervision of our teachers and a (different!) afternoon class is offered from 12-3 on that afternoon. Please keep an eye out the first week in April for more information and a permission slip!

Mark Your Calendars: Restaurant Night for TCDS is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23 at the Chipotle in Towson! More info to come! Also, remember your first tuition payment is due on April 1! Please mark these other dates down on your calendar:

Ms. Jamie’s Class

Arrival 10:15, chapel begins at 10:30

Please note that twos classes do not regularly attend chapel. If a twos family would like to come be a part of the audience, please feel free to join us! Take your child to their classroom at the assigned time (please do not come early, as the teachers will not be ready to accept children until the scheduled time). Then, you can go up to the church to find seats! There is no dress code for holiday chapels, so your child can dress however they feel comfortable… although we do tend to see a lot of Easter outfits! J This is not a regular school day, so children are dismissed directly following chapel. There is NO morning or afternoon Extended Day on Friday, April 12.

In case you haven’t seen it, there is a countdown to Baby Girl on the bulletin board in the lobby! 4 more school days (6 more days total) until she is scheduled to arrive! We are very excited at the Cook house and can’t wait to introduce our new little lady to our school family! Please see the Office Hours posted by the school office for the months of April and May. I look forward to seeing everyone again on the last day of school for the Fours Closing Ceremony!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Take Care,
