Friday Updates- November 15, 2019

Happy, Happy Friday!

I can’t believe how cold it got this week! I just wasn’t ready! Thank you to all the families for sending their children into school in snuggly warm outerwear. We will try to get outside as often as possible, as long as the temperatures are above freezing, so please keep it up!

Due to the continuing technical glitch on the Silvergraphics website (which has been resolved), online ordering is now extended until midnight on Sunday, November 17. You can use the information below to order:

Our school code is: TCDSart19

Thanksgiving Chapel is coming, our first special chapel of the year! The children have been working hard with Ms. Sue to learn the special holiday songs they will perform for their families during this service. Please remember that Thanksgiving Chapel is NOT a regular school day; our 3’s and 4’s students attend their chapel service (see schedule below) and our 2’s students do not have school on this day. The children are to be dropped off in their classrooms no earlier than 15 minutes before the chapel start time and their caregiver(s) will walk to the church to get a seat for chapel. All students will sit with their classes during the service and will be dismissed immediately following chapel. There is NO morning or afternoon Extended Day on Wednesday, November 27. A copy of this schedule will come home later next week!

Thanksgiving Chapel

9:30 (arrive at 9:15)         Ms. Jamie                            10:30 (arrive at 10:15)    Ms. Nicole

Ms. Lauren                                                                       Ms. Debbie

Ms. Marcie (both classes)

If you have a student in the 2’s class, please know you are welcome to attend chapel at either time listed above. Your child will sit with you during the service, as the 2’s classes do not attend chapel services throughout the year. But please remember that, should you choose not to attend chapel, your 2’s student will not have school on Wednesday, November 27.

Picture retakes will take place on Monday, November 18 around 10 am. If your child missed picture day, please send in your order form on Monday. Thank you!

We are still collecting non-perishable food items for Paul’s Place! Please place your items in the donation box in the lobby. In addition, each child attending Thanksgiving Chapel will bring a food item to the altar at the beginning of the service. Thank you for your generosity!

Looking ahead, please note that we will be CLOSED on Friday, December 6 for professional development and so the church can set up for their annual Candy Cane Christmas Bazaar. This event takes place on Saturday, December 7 from 9am-2pm. Please plan to come for crafts, shopping, a warm lunch, the St. John’s Bell Choir, and pictures with Santa!

Tonight is MOVIE NIGHT at Trinity Church! Please join us for a viewing of “Toy Story 4” at 6:30 in the upstairs Parish Hall. Snacks and drinks will be provided by the church at no cost to you! Please come comfy and join us for a fun evening! Please remember that the doors to the lobby will remain open so parents can supervise their children closely during the movie. Also, remember that children who are running around or roughhousing will be asked to leave the movie room. We appreciate your vigilance in keeping all of the children safe during movie night.

I hope you all enjoy this weekend! We look forward to seeing you next week!

Take Care,
