Hello TCDS Families,
Happy Friday! It was a wonderful week full of smiles here at Trinity! Whether it was for individual pictures, during classroom time, or on the playground, it was wonderful to see so many smiling and happy faces! It’s really starting to get chilly out, so please be sure to dress your child appropriately for the weather. Heavy coats, hats and mittens, and cozy shoes will all help to make our students feel comfortable. And don’t forget to switch your child’s extra clothes to something more seasonably appropriate.
Online Silvergraphics orders are due next Wednesday, November 13. Please take this opportunity to buy your child’s priceless work of art on a variety of fun products! Just in time for Christmas gifts!
We are quickly approaching our Thanksgiving Chapel on Wednesday, November 27. Please remember that Thanksgiving Chapel is NOT a regular school day; our 3’s and 4’s students attend their chapel service (see schedule below) and our 2’s students do not have school on this day. The children are to be dropped off in their classrooms no earlier than 15 minutes before their chapel time and their caregiver(s) will walk to the church to get a seat for chapel. Please do not arrive early, as classroom and chapel doors will not open until 9:15 for the first chapel and 10:15 for the second. All students will sit with their classes during the service and will be dismissed immediately following chapel. There is NO morning or afternoon Extended Day on Wednesday, November 27. A copy of this schedule will come home in two weeks for your convenience, so please keep a lookout for that in your child’s folder.

One of our wonderful parents, Liza Kalashnikova-Luby, is running a Book Club for any parents or staff members who would be interested in attending. This club meets once a month to discuss a book of choice, and the next meeting is planned for Thursday, November 21 at 7:30 pm. The meetings take place in the TCDS library. The Book Club will discuss The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden. Please feel free to attend and send any questions to Liza at email@example.com.
We are collecting canned food for those served at Paul’s Place. There is a collection box in the lobby, and we are keeping track of how much food we collect. We have collected 102 cans in just one week… WOW!!!! Please show your children what it means to truly give this holiday season and have them place the items in the box. Thank you!
If you are looking to make small donations to the school, we could always use rolls of paper towels and/or packages of napkins for snack! If you would like to donate either of these items, please bring them to the office! Thank you!
Please remember that parents and caregivers are asked to leave the playground after school around 12:30 in order make way for our Enrichment and Extended Day friends to play safely. Thank you very much for your understanding with this request.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Stay warm!!
