Happy Friday! It has been a busy week here at TCDS as usual! Extended Day Music was a big hit yesterday! Ms. Sue planned some really fun “Musical Snow” activities for the students and they had a blast. The parachute was the favorite, but they also enjoyed being dancing snowflakes, tossing “snowballs”, and singing winter songs! Fun was had by all!
Grandparents’/Grandfriends’ Day is coming up between March 3 and 6. This is a special opportunity for visitors to come see your child in the school setting. Invitations will come home early next week with the specific date for your child. Please return these slips to your teacher ASAP so we can anticipate how many visitors we will have. In order to keep our classrooms safe, we are asking that visitors are limited to 4 (or less) per family and that arrangements are made to keep younger siblings at home. Also, please be advised that the schedule cannot be changed for any reason; however, if a grandparent cannot attend, another special visitor is welcome to come in so your child has someone with them. The teachers work hard to make this day special, but we all like to keep the schedule as consistent as possible for the benefit of our students.
Dutch Mill Bulb order forms are due back to the office, with payment, on Friday, February 28. This is a fundraiser for the Parents’ Club and all money earned will come directly back to the school. Extra order forms are on the table in the lobby, so pick some up and sell some bulbs! Thank you!
BARN BASH – Join us for our biggest fundraising event of the year! Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 18th for fun, food, games, open bar (beer and wine) and our exciting silent auction. We will begin accepting applications from Trinity families for our Summer Nature Program on Monday, February 24. Applications were sent home two weeks ago, but there are extra copies on the table in the lobby. Please bring the completed application with a 20% deposit to hold your spot(s). Also, please be sure to mark your interest in Extended Day on the application so we can see if we have enough interest for the second two weeks of June.
Shrove Tuesday is February 25, 2020. The church puts on a delicious pancake supper in celebration. Please join us upstairs from 5-7 pm for FREE pancakes, sausage, bacon, juice, and fun! Mardis Gras costumes are encouraged!! I hope to see you there!
Every year, TCDS celebrates reading during the months of March and April with our Read-to-Me program. Please keep an eye out for this information and feel free to reach out to us in the office should you have any questions.
Tonight is MOVIE NIGHT here at Trinity! Join us at 6:30 pm in the upstairs Parish Hall for a screening of the original “Frozen”. This is to prepare you for the screening of “Frozen 2”, which will be in March! Come comfy and bring a blanket to lay on. Drinks and snacks are free, but donations are accepted!
A TCDS bag is missing from one of our families. Please check your cars and homes for an extra bag with a folder and homework book that doesn’t belong! Please bring it to the office should you find it. Thank you so much!
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend. I also pray that this cooooold weather doesn’t decide to stick around. COME ON SPRING!
