Friday Updates- January 31, 2020

Dear Trinity Families,
It has been a fun week here at TCDS, although there are still plenty of illnesses going around in the community. Please continue to monitor your child for any flu-like symptoms. Please keep them home if they have a fever, have been vomiting or have diarrhea, have a contagious illness such as strep, or just don’t seem well. Our policy states that children may return to school after 24 hours of no fever, vomiting, or diarrhea or if they have been on an antibiotic for more than 24 hours. We ALL appreciate your consideration in keeping the germ exposure to a minimum!
The Parents’ Club Spring Barn Bash is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at Grimmel Farms. It will be a wonderful social event filled with good food, drink, and fabulous auction items. Mark the date on your calendar and please plan to attend!
Extended Day Music is scheduled for Thursday, February 20 from 12-3. Permission slips will go home soon. Limited space will be available, so please plan for your child to join in on this fun afternoon!
This Sunday is TCDS Sunday at Trinity Church. The service begins at 10 am in the church and will be interactive, child-friendly, and shorter than usual. The children will get up and sing a few songs with Ms. Sue… and even alumni might get up there and join (my kids love me )! And there will be treats in the Parish Hall following the service! Even if you haven’t turned in the RSVP form, please join us for this wonderful opportunity for your children to worship!
Attached is February’s Tiny Tales newsletter. Please read through it for information on what’s coming up!
According to MSDE regulations, children are not permitted to have any OTC products within reach. Therefore, they may not bring lip balm, lotion, or hand sanitizer to school. Please check their bags and coat pockets each morning to ensure there are no stowaways. Given the ages of the students in our school, we cannot assume they will know how to use these products correctly; therefore, for the health and safety of all, please keep these products at home.
Although BCPS has changed their calendar, we have not! Please make note of the following dates:
Tuesday, February 4 TCDS is OPEN as usual
Monday, February 17 TCDS is CLOSED for President’s Day

Well… I know many of you were hoping to be bleeding purple this Sunday. But, the silver lining is that you can hopefully enjoy a nice relaxing time watching a low-stakes football game. Right?? Have a great weekend and hope to see you Sunday morning for TCDS Sunday!
Take Care,
Chrissy
